Meet Dr. Jason Miller

Jason Miller graduated from UC Santa Cruz with degrees in Biology and Physical Anthropology. He received his veterinary training in St. Kitts at Ross University's School of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Miller opened Soquel Creek Animal Hospital in May of 2008. Jason's special interests include geriatric care and pain management. When he's not at work, he can be found outdoors enjoying nature with his wife and three kids.

Dr. Charlotte Sugar

A Santa Cruz native, earned her DVM at the University of Tennesse, Knoxville in 1993. She went on to receive a Masters Degree in Social Work at Cal State Los Angeles in 2000. Her areas of special interest include oncology, feline medicine, end-of-life care, grief and pet loss. Charlotte lives in Boulder Creek with her three cats. She enjoys arts and crafts, any book, the beaches and forests and spending time with her extended family in the area.

Practice Manager

Taci has been working at Soquel Creek since April of 2009.
Having had a dog her entire life, she loves to work in an environment surrounded by animals. In her free time, she
can be found walking her dog, Beau.

Receptionists:

Inga has been with Dr. Miller and Soquel Creek since March
2011 and has enjoyed every moment. Her feline family members include Farley the watch cat, Molly the mouser, and Mamacita the lovebug. Three years ago she adopted Maisie, a shepherd collie mix, third in a line of fabulous black dogs. Inga has lived in Santa Cruz her whole life and loves taking advantage of the beaches and forests in the area, especially with Maisie in tow.

Kelsey has been working for Soquel Creek since September 2011 and is currently a student at Cabrillo College. She has grown up with three dogs, countless numbers of rescued cats, and her horse, Buddy, who she spends a lot of her free time with riding and barrel racing. She has a great amount love and compassion for all animals and appreciates being able to work with them daily. Kelsey enjoys spending time with friends, family, and playing soccer.

Andrea has been with Soquel Creek Animal Hospital since March 2011. She grew up in Santa Cruz and currently attends San Jose State University. She has a 12 year-old Golden Retriever mix named, Samson, who she absolutely adores. When not at work or school, you can find her swimming, riding her bike, and spending time with friends and family.

Veterinary Technicians:

Kyle graduated from UC Santa Cruz in 2008 with a bachelor's degree in Biology. He currently owns two cats, Minnie and Nala, and a dog, Chloe. He has been an employee for Soquel Creek since January 2009. His passion for animals and interest in medicine has lead him to pursue a future career as a Veterinarian.

Nic has always grown up with animals and has always had a canine companion of his own since he was 18 years old. Formerly a service technician, his love for animals lead him to a new career opportunity at Soquel Creek in March of 2010. He enjoys working with animals and acquiring new skills every day. On his days off he can be found fishing with his dog, Beau.

Kennel Technicians:

Marcus is 19 years old and currently attends Cabrillo College. He has a two year old German Shepherd, Bailey, who he loves. Bailey is his best friend and simply a ball of joy. Marcus harbors a love for all animals and feels truly blessed to work with a team of people who share the same passion.

Loyal, raised on the coast of Northern California, is currently attending Cabrillo College. His love for animals and special interest in Veterinary Science is what drew him to a part time position at Soquel Creek Animal Hospital.
